ICC T20 World Cup 2024: All You Need To Know
The wait is finally over as the 9th edition of the ICC T20 World Cup returns, taking place from June 2nd to 29th in the United States and the West Indies.
For the first time in its history, the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will feature twenty teams, competing in 55 matches.
Originally, the tournament was scheduled to occur every two years, though there have been instances where editions were held just one year apart, such as in 2010 and 2022. Notably, fans had to endure a five-year hiatus due to the pandemic before the tournament resumed in 2021.

T20 World Cup 2024 Groups
The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is one of the biggest cricket tournaments ever. It’s the first time in T20 World Cup history that 20 teams are taking part across the globe. All 20 teams are divided into 4 groups. Here are the groups along with their respective teams:

T20 World Cup 2024 Venues
The ICC T20 World Cup will happen in nine different places in the USA and the Caribbean. Most of the games, including the final, will be at Kensington Oval Stadium in Barbados. The semi-final matches will take place at Providence Stadium in Guyana and Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago.

T20 World Cup 2024 Playing Conditions
A special tiebreaker called a Super Over will be played if any T20 World Cup match ends in a tie. If even the Super Over ends in a tie, more Super Overs will be played until there’s a winner.
In the knockout stage, like the semi-finals and final, extra time is set aside to ensure the matches finish properly. For example, the first semi-final on June 26 has 60 extra minutes after the game ends, and another 190 minutes the next day. The second semi-final on June 27 has 250 extra minutes. The final on June 29 even has a reserve day on June 30 just in case.
